Quality Assurance in the Healthcare Sector: Identified Needs & Possible Solutions
Natalie Gottlieb
Short Narrative/Description:
This presentation will be a summary of the research that Common Sense Solutions has done over the past quarter to identify what needs currently exist in the healthcare quality market and presenting some solutions to meet those business needs. It will include a look at the current healthcare accreditation bodies, a brief review of the supporting private agencies, and propose ideas on how to enter that market. Additionally, we will discuss the current data being collected by different hospital departments and ask the question, "What is being done with this data?" To date, the answer is, usually very little. We'll wrap up by demonstrating the value of data driven process improvement, ask for questions, and hopefully end the night with a lot of food for thought for people to take back to their respective roles and organizations.
