ISO 9001 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM — A TOOL FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS

Short Narrative/Description:

• There are numerous management systems available in the business and quality management field. We want to look at the ISO 9001 quality management system as a tool for business success and how, I believe, the latest ISO 9001:2015 has moved from a quality management system more to a business management system.
• We shall look at the latest changes, and how the system can be used to enhance corporate business and achieve successful outcomes particularly in the quality function.

Speaker Background:

• Matthew Omodia is the quality coordinator at Mattei Transit Engineering, a Randallstown based Air Compressor manufacturing firm.
• He has over 20 years work experience with over 10 years in quality management in the manufacturing and oil and gas industries. He is passionate about business successes; bringing to play his engineering, environmental management, occupational health and safety management; and quality management systems experiences.
• He is ASQ certified manager of quality / organizational excellence since 2009 and currently the membership chair of ASQ Northern Virginia section 0511.
• He is a certified lead auditor of the quality management, environmental management and occupational health and safety management systems.
• Outside his work, he loves mentoring and serving in his local church and community. He hopes to soon take these passions to lecture in colleges.

Reservations: Cost for dinner is $25.00 per person if reservations are made by the deadline (the Monday before the meeting), $30 if otherwise. There is no charge to attend for the presentation only. To register with or without dinner please use our on line reservation form which can be used up to the Tuesday before the meeting. If you wish to make a reservation after the Tuesday before the meeting or your plans change, please contact dba18@asq0511.org, and let us know.
