Michael J. Novak, retired U.S. Naval Officer and Federal Employee
- Michael J. Novak is a retired U.S. Naval Officer and a retired U.S. Federal Employee. Highlights of his extensive federal career include drafting the Treasury Department Strategic Plan; serving on task groups chartered by the Vice President's National Partnership for Reinventing Government; developing and implementing Defense Department procurement policy; and serving as an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and other Baldrige-based award programs, including Executive Director of the Maryland Performance Excellence Awards program.
- Mr. Novak lectures and publishes extensively on Organizational Assessment and Improvement and on Knowledge Management. He is past President of the Washington, DC, Chapter of the Knowledge Management Professional Society, and past Co-Chair of the Federal Knowledge Management Working Group. He is a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, and an Open Group Certified Enterprise Architect.

- Located on Marina Way in north Woodbridge, this gem is located along the Occoquan River and offers casual dockside dining, live acoustic music on the weekends and Sunday Brunch with a 'make your own' Bloody Mary Bar from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Open Wednesday through Sunday with 2 comfortable bars, a cozy waterfront dining room, private event space and wonderfully attentive servers and bartenders. Boaters should call ahead to reserve a slip.
- Lots of TV's for SPORTS fanatics! Happy Hour is on Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and includes drink and appetizer specials.
- Private rooms are available for group events and parties.
- Delicious lunch and dinner menu offers soup, salads, appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. Great selection including perfectly steamed shrimp, snow crab leg clusters, and mouth watering New York Strip. Appetizers include hot crab and spinach dip, bacon wrapped scallops, rib bites, and fried calamari. Oh and don't miss the house made Key Lime pie, and the decadent rum cake with salted caramel gelato!

- Indoor or Outdoor Dining for Lunch daily starting at 11:30 am and Sunday at 10:30 am for brunch. Dinner served daily at 5:00 pm. Main Dining Room closes at 9:00 p.m. Late night menu til close.

Reservations: Cost for dinner is $25.00 per person. There is no charge to attend for the presentation only. To register with or without dinner please use our on line reservation form which can be used up to the Tuesday before the meeting.
