Notes:
But things are changing - for the better - with a process orientation, not only can we build software better, we don’t have to constantly rediscover the right way to build software - we can leverage off our proven processes to do so. (through process reuse and a corporate Process Asset Library (PAL)).
This insight will let us prevent defects (and lots of future defects) by fixing the processes.
Right now most software processes produce 2 things - code and defects. We have to believe that we can design processes that only produce code.
But there are a lot of other benefits to process orientation ------------------------------------------------>
