Our SPI investment has produced many results, only a few of which are reflected in direct dollar returns on investment. Over 120 standard processes have been defined, documented, trained, and tailored for implementation on projects. These processes are supported by 13 manuals and handbooks totaling 2050 pages, and 227 hours of training from 29 QI/SPI courses. Most of these are available in the PAL, which now contains 1054 assets and 667 html pages. A study of the processes on 11 projects in 1994 found 240 documented project processes, 41% of which were tailored from the standard processes. The 1995 study found standard process reuse had increased to 55%, and documented a 10:1 decrease in process creation time through process reuse.
