Calibration Service, What are you buying?by

The discussion will cover a basic background and explanation of calibration terms, standards, and requirements. It will describe the difference between an "accredited' calibration, Z540-1, and a "commercial or industrial" service. Tom Hettenhouser has been in calibration for over 25 years. His career started in the Air Force where he was a PMEL technician and an instructor at the calibration school at Lowry AFB. He has worked in the commercial calibration business as a technician, supervisor, auditor, manager, and area director. He currently runs his own metrology consulting business, TH Metrology.
