Synopsis
What it's like to work in Iraq right now
Bill Casti is Senior Advisor for IT Information Security for the USAID-funded Economic Governance II Project, eGovernment Services, for the Government of Iraq, and lives and works in Baghdad most of the year. He is also the current Chair (Outgoing) of the Northern VA chapter of ASQ. For 20+ years he was a Quality professional for various US companies including Intel, Tektronix, NEC America. In 1995, he became Internet Security Manager for FEMA in DC, later moving to IT Security consulting for the Securities Industry Automation Corporation in NYC, Freddie Mac in Tysons, EDS in Herndon and now as an employee of BearingPoint of McLean VA. He holds the following credentials: ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). ISC2 Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), British Computer Society Chartered IT Professional (CITP) and an ITIL Foundations certificate.He is also credentialed as an ISO 9000 QMS Lead Auditor, TL 9000 QMS Auditor, ISO 27001 ISMS Auditor and ISO 20000 IT Service Management Auditor and Instuctor (BSi). Until his move to Iraq, Bill had been actively and fully-involved with our section since 1995. He is a Senior Member of ASQ.
