Enhancing Quality and Performance to the Federal Investigative Service

Short Narrative/Description:

A critical component to improving the performance of government, whether streamlining recruitment or maintaining effective control of critical Federal operations, is contingent on the efficiency and effectiveness of OPM's Federal Investigative Service. This presentation will provide the audience with an understanding of what the Service does, the current workload and actions being taken to improve overall performance.

Speaker Background:

With over twenty years experience in management, operations, and consulting, Eric Lippold's professional experience covers a diverse background in both the public and private sector. Eric currently serves as the Executive Program Director, Division Management, for the Federal Investigative Service where he provides management and oversight of FIS' financial management operations, performance management and reporting, and administrative activities. Eric previously served as the Assistant Director, Finance and Budget and Chief Financial Officer of the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board providing management and oversight of financial operations and programs including the major functional areas of budget formulation, budget execution, fiscal services, financial operations, debt collection, prompt payment, accounting and financial systems evaluation and design, travel management, resources evaluation, and all other matters in which the RATB would receive or expend resources.

Cost for dinner is $25.00 per person if reservations are made by the deadline, $30 if otherwise.
