Design & Constructing Division of ASQ, Join us in building the future

Short Narrative/Description:
- Please join us in an evening of discussion the Design & Constructing Division, what it is and how we can grow together.
- Our members are employed by A/E’s, Constructors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Owners, Government Agencies, Educational Institutions, and Industry Groups.
- VISION -- To be the World’s recognized champion and leading authority on all issues related to quality in the design and construction community and its customers.
- MISSION -- To advance individual performance excellence worldwide by providing opportunities to members for learning, quality improvement, and knowledge exchange.
- The presentation will discuss the following key questions:
- WHAT ARE WE ABOUT?
- WHY SHOULD I JOIN DCD?
- WHAT DO I GET OUT OF BELONGING?
- HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Speaker Background:
- A Mechanical and QA Engineer with 40 years diverse experience in a variety of industries. Bob started his career in GE Navy Nuclear design and Project Management for Valves, Piping and Auxiliary Equipment. Bob then went on to work in procurement QC/QA for GE Gas Turbine including statistical process control and supplier QC. He then worked for Boston Edison Commercial Nuclear, as a Supplier Lead Auditor and Senior QA Engineer. After a period of time as a small business consultant (QA, Computer, and business assistance) and Adjunct college professor (Statistics, Math, Computer), Bob joined Parsons Brinckerhoff Americas. At Parsons Brinckerhoff he worked as startup, testing and operations engineer on the Big Dig project and then as the QA/QC Manager on the Dulles Airport Design and Construction Management program. Bob developed and implemented a QA program for the $6 Billion Design and Construction program for Dulles airport. Bob received the Parsons Brinckerhoff 2008 Quality Award for this program development. Bob is now working on a variety of projects for Parsons Brinckerhoff including coordinating an internal audit program and Design project QA Manager.
- Bob’s credentials include: BSME University of Cincinnati, MSE in ME (Nuclear) Union College, P.E. New York and Virginia, Lead Auditor ISO-9001, Lead internal Auditor Parsons Brinckerhoff, Past Malcolm Baldridge Examiner, Mass state award, and ASQ Senior Member.
- Bob is a Professional Associate at Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Reservations: Cost for dinner is $30.00 per person if reservations are made by the deadline (the Friday before the meeting), $35 if otherwise. There is no charge to attend for the presentation only. To register with or without dinner please use our on line reservation form which can be used up to the Sunday before the meeting.
