The Quality & Reliability of Healthcare.gov - What Happened?
Gerard Dache
Short Narrative/Description:
- The roll out of Healthcare.Gov may be one of the most obvious software failures to date.
- The pundits can debate the policy and political issues.
- We are going to delve into the quality and process aspects of the system and its deployment.
- We are going to ask how such a high visibility program with years to prepare and millions of dollars to spend, could have resulted in becoming the punch line of jokes on every late-night comedy show for months on end.
- We will consider this case study from the perspective of project management, engineering and support processes.
Speaker Background:
- Gerard Dache has been in the quality and process improvement business since 1987.
- He is currently the President of Common Sense Solutions in Fairfax, VA.
- He is a CMMI Institute Authorized High Maturity Lead Appraiser for CMMI, a certified instructor and SCAMPI Class B & C Team Lead.
- He is ITIL Foundation Certified and has extensive knowledge of models and standards including CMMI, ISO 9001 and ITIL.
