How We Encounter the (Quality) Legacy of Our Founding Fathers Every Day in Northern Virginia (to include adjoining Maryland)
Gregg Monaco
Short Narrative/Description:
- The Founders, in their various walks of life, were very practical people who not only prided themselves on delivering enduring goods and services that were marked by craftsmanship (quality), but also with experimentation, so as to have a basis for continuous improvement.
- The seeds they planted bore fruit never before seen in the history of the world, let alone impacting vast numbers, in just about every aspect of life.
- In Northern Virginia, their legacy and clues about their legacy, adorn the landscape and infrastructure as our contemporaries pass through without a clue.
Speaker Background:
- Mr. Gregg Monaco serves as our ASQ 0511 Education Chair.
- He is a long-time certificated Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
- In his LSS services professional role, his course development efforts encompass a historical management application perspective that go back to the American Revolution and key practitioners in a new thinking paradigm.
- Gregg holds a multi-major undergraduate degree and multiple graduate degrees.
- Since his 1998 arrival in Virginia (from the West), he has traveled extensively through "The Colonies" visiting places mentioned in historical, scientific, and business texts. Why? Because the consciousness and vision a handful of forward thinking individuals brought to their contemporaries and descendants were an unprecedented inspiration to his grandparents to seek citizenship in the New World, its quality, and opportunity.
