Driving Innovative IT Project Metrics by Embracing Human Nature

Our objective for this presentation is to enable you to have a discussion with your management and your staff about innovating the project management process by:
- Emphasizing the importance of establishing trust with project sponsor(s), executive stakeholders and customers
- Understanding the components of trust
- Convincing the project sponsor that you, as a project manager, know what really matters for PM effectiveness
- Demonstrating that you know how to define the right metrics, measure them, communicate and collaborate to address deviations
About John Bowen:
- John Bowen is Senior Director of Global Partnerships for Computer Aid, Inc., responsible for expanding CAI's international business presence. In this role, he has led CAI's international growth in Asia, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. John has more than 35 years of IT management experience including executive leadership, technology management, IT integration, IT due diligence, strategic planning and large scale system implementation.
- Before joining CAI, John served for ten years as CIO of PPL Global, the international division of PPL Corporation. In that role, he was responsible for IT management and operations in Latin America and lived for several years in Argentina and Chile. He has managed multi-national projects involving teams in more than 30 countries. He authored an acclaimed project management methodology and established project management offices (PMOs) in multiple companies in the US and Latin America.
- John is a magna cum laude graduate of DePauw University with degrees in mathematics, computer science and symbolic logic. He has taught international business, information engineering and project management for MBA programs at eight universities and is currently visiting instructor of international business and project management at Lehigh University's Iacocca Institute. John has taught international business and project leadership to more than 500 professionals from nearly 100 countries at the Iacocca Institute's Global Village program.

Maggiano's Tyson's Corner - Maggiano's recreates the classic pre-World War II dinner house featuring family size portions. The menu features both classic and contemporary recipes; pastas, salads, steaks, seafood, regular chef specials, and specialty desserts. Maggiano's offers dinner, carryout service, delivery, and banquet spaces for special occasions. Meals can be purchased in single-sized portions or as full multi-course family style meals. We're planning for a full multi-course family style meal!

Reservations: Cost for dinner is $30.00 per person. Due to the special nature of this dinner there will be no program only seating. To register, please use our on line reservation form which can be used up to and including 5 October 2017.
